This is the perfect hotel. I love staying in the private hacienda complete with floor to ceiling rollaway doors, private pools, palapas and crystal clear views of the Pacific. Don’t miss the romantic poolside and ocean-side dinners. Celeb factor is also quite high.

4. Grand Hotel Tritone Praiano, Amalfi Coast, Italy

Dramatic cliff-side hotel in the tiny town of Praiano. Cut into the cliff, rooms are enormous and look out over the Adriatic Sea. You actually take an elevator through the cliff to get to the rocky beach, it’s expensive but well worth the price.

5. The American Colony Hotel, Jerusalem

Definitely Jerusalem’s sexiest hotel! Rich in history and lore, the property is popular with American and Arab businessmen who have breakfast poolside and take their high-end barbeques and Arab cuisine on the lawn. Service is impeccable and it’s only a 5-minute walk to the Damascus gate leading to old Jerusalem.

Anytime is teatime at this world-class resort. Decorated in British Colonial style, the entire property is located behind a compound overlooking a private game reserve. Over coffee I watched elephant, zebra, and impala drink from the trough, completely ignoring my presence. What more could you ask for form an African experience.

The place is like a race car, and it’s no wonder why, it was designed by The Pininfarina Family, the creative force behind the Ferrari. It’s right in the heart of The Gas Lamp District. Rooms are huge and feature polished cement floors and showers that are right in the middle of the room. Dominant colors are black and crushed, cherry red. The Keating makes you want to have sex.
