Hat’s Off to Superb Cuisine!
Quinn
and Karen Hatfield, both former employees of Spago,
have created a sexy LA eatery near the Farmer’s
Market. A mosaic tile bar, handmade ceramic sconces,
polished cement floor, and cream-colored walls give
the place a sophisticated yet intimate feel.
There
are three different menus to choose from –
a weekly market pre fixe menu, a 7 course “Chef’s
Tasting Menu,” and a seasonal ala carte menu.
They also have a pretty extensive wine list and
the service is first rate.
We
tried the date and mint crusted rack of lamb with
potato chive puree and the buttermilk steamed chicken
breast, which were excellent. All the dishes looked
creative and delicious. But be sure to save room
for the chocolate and peanut butter truffle cake.
