Miami's Sexiest
Miami Beach is arguably America’s sexiest city and Karu & Y is by far Miami’s sexiest new restaurant, located in the heart of Miami’s expanding arts and entertainment district. This $15 million project comes from its creator, Cesar Sotomayer.

Sotomayer collaborated with the uber talented architect Pepe Calderin to create a restaurant/club with many moods. With aquatic undertones, complete with a cascading waterfall from behind a glass lit wall as you enter and just beyond, the stunning luminated “Blue Icicle” chandelier created by one of the most original artist, Dale Chihuly.

Through out the restaurant the walls are flanked with wenge and zebrawoods. The ultra lounge Y has a hip futuristic style with multiple plasma screens and lit fabric flowing on the ceilings. The red and white VIP room has a sexy feel with fiberglass booths and white leather couches. Outdoors is the terrace with water flowing throughout. There is a walkway of water under clear glass that leads to a reflecting pool and private cabanas with plasma televisions and sound system.

The Karu & Y pays tribute to Spanish culinary heritage. Executive Chef Alberto Cabrera has expanded his culinary talent by demonstrating culinary techniques with textures and mix of heat to create dishes that are his own that have flavor with extraordinary and unexpected pleasure to the palate. Menu highlights include roasted veal sweetbreads, opah fish, octopus carpaccio and Australian Wagyu sirloin is served with seared cuttlefish. Every meal is presented with a wonderful array of bouche and finishes with delectable assorted petit fours. The meals are an exotic and erotic. It is the kind of place you can spend the whole night.
